Collins College alumni are invited to join us virtually for a Beer Master Class on Tuesday, November 24th at 6pm PDT via Zoom.

2009 alumnus Trevor Tyler is the Senior Director of Beverage Operations for Eureka! His virtual class will include exploring the history and culture of craft beer in the United States and drinking some beer along the way.

Trevor Tyler, Eureka!'s Senior Director of Beverage Operations

Trevor Tyler grew up in Los Angeles and is very proud of his Angelino roots. He attained a B.A. in Hospitality Management from Cal Poly Pomona in 2009. After graduating and working at a few different concepts Trevor started at Eureka! in 2011 as a GM. Trevor quickly rose through the ranks and became the Beverage Director for Eureka! in 2014. He has overseen 16 Eureka! Restaurant openings as the Beverage Director and has trained hundreds of people.

Trevor is a Certified Cicerone, one of roughly 3,500 in the world. The Cicerone program is an organization that certifies beer experts and is the most accredited organization in the beer world for beer education.

He has worked with multiple breweries throughout the United States to brew beer exclusively for Eureka! By leveraging distillery relationships to provide breweries with barrels to age beer in. The biggest of these collaborations was the first batch of Bottle Logic’s Fundamental Observation which is currently listed as #12 on Beer Advocate’s Top 250 beers in the world.

As part of this continuous effort to build the network through increasing membership, the society offers a full calendar of events throughout the year.

Chartered in 1985, the society's mission is to promote networking with alumni throughout the hospitality industry. The society is a chapter of the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association.
